I dont understand how some people dont like this anime (must be the people who think bleach's story is a masterpieces *the show is good but dont even try to convince me the story has any emotional "worth"*)a lot of you love it as i can see and its easy to see why. This show has spectacular animation, the character depth is the best ive seen in any anime or any other series for that matter, the story is extremely well done and interesting and its just all around one of (if not the) the best anime series ever made. And someone in an earlier post said it felt like the show didnt have any soul. I dont know what kind of humor that is but if taking reality and turning it completely upside down is funny, then you my friend are hilarious. This is one of those shows that seems to start slow (which may have been why it was overlooked in the US) but those who were smart enough to stick with it would have been rewarded with an amazing and emotionally moving story. This in a nutshell is one of the best shows and i think it is tragic that people in the north America *which happens to be where i live* are so foolish and quick to judge this so poorly. One another note, Yes there is a movie coming out and BONES is making a new series with a fairly similar feel *the animations looks very similar* called Xam'd Lost Memories so check it out if u love eureka seven

If you guys didn't catch that, there is going to be an Eureka 7 movie, and it is going off of the show not some wierd rendition hopefuly.

okay..many of my friends doesnt like this series..
but there are many people who love this series...

personaly i would say this anime quite entertaining...maybe boring for someone who love action anime - simple minded story (no brain) like
naruto/bleach...

but hey... this anime got huge awards...

Eureka Seven won multiple awards at the 2006 Tokyo International Anime Fair, including Best Television Series, Best Screenplay for Dai SatÅ, and Best Character Designs for Ken'ichi Yoshida.

but despite those award about design and stuff..
the key of success in eureka is...

the way of the story goes...
i mean the genre..

Bildungsroman (novel of self-cultivation)
a novelistic form that concentrates on the spiritual, moral, psychological, or social development and growth of the protagonist usually from childhood to maturity.

Bildungsroman usually contain the following course:

The protagonist grows from boy to man or girl to woman.
The protagonist must have some reason to go on this journey. A loss or discontent must jar him or her at an early stage away from the home or family setting.

The process of maturing is long, arduous, and gradual, consisting of repeated clashes between the needs or desires of the hero and the views and judgments enforced by an unbending social order. This bears some similarity to Sigmund Freud's concept of the pleasure principle versus the reality principle.

Eventually, the spirit and values of the social order become manifest in the protagonist, who is then accommodated into society. The novel ends with an assessment by the protagonist of himself/herself and his/her new place in that society.

The character is generally making a smooth movement away from conformity. Major conflict is self vs. society or individuality vs. conformity.

There are themes of exile or escape.

this is why i loved this anime...it's an anime with a simple story about a boy..and become a man...to protect eureka the one he loved most..

The series also covers other more personal themes such as parenting, and family, along with a very innocent view of puppy love/love at first sight from Renton and Eureka.

Identity and protection play a huge role for Renton and Eureka, as both of them say, "I am me" in the series multiple times, and Renton has sworn to protect Eureka.

Continuing with themes addressed in previous series, responsibility and guilt manifest most explicitly with repeating the phrase, "You're going to carry that weight." The series works these themes, as well as the theme of growing up and change, into the journey of Renton Thurston.

they don't really have any pictures or trailers of the new season or movie yet nothing will be said officially from the company till April. most of the info of the new things to come or from leaks and actions that the company is taken that is mostly focusing on eureka seven. Also reed thank you I'm glad that even though my grammar sucked you at saw the outline i was trying to make . I tend to make a habit of not rereading my work for any errors or seeing if it makes senses.

Hey guys the reason why I joined this community is because of my all time favorite Eureka Seven. I loved the action, characters, and DEFINATELY the love relationship with Eureka and Renton.

I've heard rumors of a NEW season AND A MOVIE.
Is it true because I'd really like some closure because after i saw all of it I needed to see more.

If it is true can I have like a link that's prove of the new season or movie.

Although red_dragon15 does not have very good grammer, I completey agree with his incredibly long post. Eureka 7 is by far my favorite anime, it changed how I view the world. Don't think of me as an easily mendable person though it is very hard to change my morals, but I thought it was a truly spectacular show. Besides I just really like love stories. I am also highly anticipating, either a movie or what's after Eureka 7. If you dont like that show, I respect your reasoning, but it is my favorite anime.

I love the political side to eureka seven. Dewy Novac, You are my hero man! Also, the romance in between renton and eureka as sweet. Holand&Talho were just annoying! And the dub version rocks!

yea anemone was the only test subject to survive but she had some major problems like the headachs and the nose bleeds but other wise thats it ty and i hope they make an eureka 7 movie or another series of eureka 7

well they have a new contract for the next two years so i guess there being funded to create something new. but i dont think it will take all two years i just cant wait till it comes out and its in english dub. I dont know why people dont like it cause i prefer the english version much better even thought i like anime. Anemone i believe wasnt a coralian i think she was created from the labs like thoses other girls that died in ep 44 when they went to warsong to find a replacement for anemone, but unlike the other girls that died she had something diffrent in her to be able to with stand the plastic surgery i think what caused the eyes and the medication. The kids around colonel dewey were just adopted orphans which he trained to be the way they were and just like how acted with anemone kind yet twisting them to his will.

Sorry for my last post i notice there were many spelling mistakes and the very end didnt make sence, i was sick that day and was getting tiered to the point where i didnt reread it for errors but what i was trying to say that, unlike Full metal alchemist they going to countinue the story on eureka seven , and like i said in my previous statement Bones owns both eureka seven and full metal alchemist projects and for what many people know full metal is a closed project, and latly then been hiring bigger staff preparing for a new project and seeing how full metal out the window and closed it leaves only eureka seven so there going to either going to create a movie or a new series but from what i been reading they got a contract for another 2 years and there already information leaking about about the future. Most of there staff cant realy talk about it cause there bond by contract but if you read around you can find some facts out there just make sure you dont stump into some rumors and fake information. I cant wait till the new euerka seven i have to say this series really made me look deeper within my self by the moral lessons and values that it shows.
